Nice dishwasher. Very quiet and cleans exceptionally well but improvements need to be made with the lower tray. Alignment racks for the dishes does not allow them to stand. The dishes fall forward. Also, spaces for larger bowls do not exist. Poorly designed.

Very Quiet

I have had this dishwasher for several months and am very pleased with it. Not only is it quiet but it does a great job with the dishes. They come out very clean. I also do not have water pooled up on them after the drying cycle which was a problem with my old dishwasher.

Bought this dishwasher about 6 weeks ago to replace a 5-year Frigidaire (would not recommend). Absolutely love this dishwasher. It's quiet, efficient, and dishes come out so clean. Such a great decision.

Washes dishes well

Great "middle or the line" dishwasher. Washes and drys well. Never had to wash twice. It does have a heater to heat water and dry dishes. Was concerned about the vent on the side of door venting to the adjacent cabinet. Googled the vent to find the purpose and found others having problems. Even caused moisture damage to some cabinets. Salesperson didn't know what this vent was for, but didn't think it would be a problem and said If it did cause a problem, I can return it. After using it for about a year now, I can say for sure this is not a vent for the heating cycle. More like a vent for the control panel. Does feel warm at times, but not enough to cause any problems. But if there's steam coming out like in some reviews, there's something wrong internally and needs to be serviced.

I purchased al new KA appliances for my home. The dishwasher has been the sole star. Does a nice job and the only time I know it's running is when I hear the water going into the drain.

So quiet, I forget it's even running

Extremely quiet and since it is near my television, this is a real bonus, especially when running in the evening. I have not had one dish or one spoon not come out spotless.

Good Product

I'm a bit disappointed with the noise level but this dishwasher cleans very well and the noise is not terrible. After it was installed, we ran it empty just to clean it. After we washed the first load, I noticed a bad odor from the dishwasher every time I opened to add dishes (we always rinse our dishes before loading even though the manual says you don't have to) . After running the second load through, I don't notice the odor so much, so it may just be because it is so new. I'm hoping it gets better.

We replaced our old dishwasher of 15 years. What a HUGE difference! We love how quiet it is. There are many choices in washing levels as well. Much more efficient!! We also like the metal door, my husband thinks it looks "manly". I would recommend this dishwasher!

I love the new dishwasher. Gone are the days of washing dishes after they've run through the dishwasher. My mom was visiting and was impressed that she hadn't rinsed/washed before loading and everything still comes out sparkling! Of course, there always has to be one gotcha. This. thing. is. slow. Seems like a normal cycle takes about forever! Honestly, it hasn't been a real issue and it runs so quietly that it doesn't interrupt the evening. All-in-all - I'm glad we picked this dishwasher. Highly recommended!

My dishwasher experiences

I am replacing a KitchenAid with this KitchenAid, they both have worked great. My one complaint is that when I spend a $1,000.00 on an appliance I expect it to last more than 7 years. The dishwasher I had before my KitchenAid lasted 14 years and was only $350.00 but, it didn't clean as well as the KitchenAid and was very loud.

Shhhhh! Quiet!

New house. Open concept. Dishwasher installed one month ago and it is truly quiet. Can run the dishwasher after entertaining while guests are still in the relaxing room without noise - a mere 15 feet away. Can't believe these machines are that quiet. And best of all, great cleaning.

It was a good purchase from the perspective of getting exactly what we had hoped for. Best feature? the little light on the front that lets you know if it's running, off, or done. Second? The arrangement of the racks inside. Good utility there. Worst? the start button which you seem to have to hit three times any time you want to do anything...like add a dish.

Recommend with caveat, make sure your kind of dishes will fit in this dishwasher. We replaced existing Kitchen Aid dishwasher that was 10 years old New one's design is less user friendly. Dishes don't want to stand up, seems like less room than last dishwasher. Would not buy this particular model again.

Sleek look, perfectly quiet

I love the look, the performance and the exceptional quietness of this dishwasher. It is so quiet I have to look at the lights to see if it's running. The only drawback it has is the compartments of the silverware tray. There are sliding covers so small items don't get loose and also slots for the silverware but you cannot slide them open to add objects into it if you already have silverware in the slits. And I use those compartments often. I like the inside design of my old Kitchenaide dishwasher much better. Otherwise, this would rate a 10 out of 10.
